Kate Piccinelli

Kate is a clinical psychologist with over 9 years of experience working in private practice. She is passionate about helping her clients feel understood and empowered to improve their mental health and wellbeing. Kate does this by building strong therapeutic alliances with her clients and applying evidence-based therapies and techniques.

Kate completed both her Bachelor of Psychology (with Honours) and Master of Psychology (Clinical) at James Cook University in Townsville. She has training and experience in a range of evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Schema Therapy, as well as trauma informed care, mindfulness techniques, and parenting strategies. She is experienced in conducting ASD and ADHD diagnostic assessments, cognitive assessments, and other psychological testing.

Kate enjoys working with children, adolescents and adults, and her areas of interest include neuro-affirming practice with individuals with ASD and ADHD, as well as working with presentations of depressive and anxiety disorders, personality disorders and PTSD.
